Positioning Assistant
The Positioning Assistant helps you precisely align your objects in the workspace using advanced algorithms.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”- Upload Positioning Files
- In your printer settings, upload a positioning file that comes directly from your machine.
- For each file you want to position, upload its corresponding positioning file.
- Activate Positioning Assistant
- Once both the printer and the file have positioning files uploaded, the Positioning Assistant button will be enabled in the RightBar.
- Run ICP Alignment
- Click the Positioning Assistant button to start the alignment process.
- The system uses an ICP (Iterative Closest Point) algorithm to automatically update the position of your file so it matches the reference from your printer.
Why Use It?
Section titled “Why Use It?”- Ensures accurate placement and alignment for complex prints.
- Reduces manual adjustment and potential errors.
- Ideal for workflows requiring precise registration between scanned objects and printer coordinates.
If you do not upload positioning files, the feature will remain disabled. For straightforward positioning, manual controls may be sufficient, but for advanced alignment, use the Positioning Assistant as described above.
